These electrifying gospel singers minister the good news that the Lord Jesus has for all God’s people in and out of churches, allowing us to listen and understand God’s words through spiritual songs. “Jesus Christ Lord & Savior” is the first single of God’s N U. This is the Lords theme song dedicated to continuously lift the Lord up in your life, a feel good song with the music of the King of Pop Micheal Jackson and the spiritual lyrics of Carvel Rease of God’s N U. ”Jesus Christ Lord & Savior” Singing contemporary gospel music, together with great traditional gospel songs, God’s N U has produced their own unique and elegant sound. They have combined secular music with Christian spiritual lyrics like Thomas Dorsey the Father of Gospel Music did in the 1930’s. “If U Don’t Know Christ By Now” is another what we call our “Secular-Gospel” song, music by the great Kenneth Gamble and Leon Huff and lyrics by C. Rease. This song has a sinner’s prayer for all to join in awakening Gods children to receive his righteousness in this world. God’s N U original songs such as; “Bone Of My Bone”, “The Lord Is Always Steps Ahead Of Me” and “Lord Jesus Is Our Role Model” God’s N U says, “Our music is made with love for the children of God. We have to continue to remind people to be repetitious, by putting their hearts and minds in the proper perspective, and that is through praising and worshiping God and son Jesus Christ who died for all of us.” History Founder Carvel Rease and original member, the late Marvin Myers, had been singing since their childhood years. They had sung from churches, talent shows and nightclubs, all the way to auditoriums, arenas, and other venues. One of their choir teachers was the multi-talented Mr. Justin Hairston a singer, songwriter and actor. Mr. Hairston played an elderly deacon on the television sitcom “Amen.” After Mr. Hairston left, minister of music minister Joe Smith taught us to sing religious songs with secular music inserting Christian lyrics in 1970. Mr. Myers and Mr. Rease joined the school gospel choir at McClymonds High School known as, The Symphonic Young Adult Choir. We sung religious songs all over the Bay Area and throughout the state. We also were invited and had the privilege of singing in the Los Angeles Forum with the great Rev. James Cleveland. Before God’s N U sang together in their ministry, they were singing secular R&B music. “We were known as The Numonics. We won many awards such as the Baby Jewel award and many other awards. Members of the group have performed with great artist such as: James Brown, Stevie Wonder, The Whispers, The Gap Band, Cameo, Larry Graham, Melba Moore, Tower of Power, Johnny "Guitar" Watson the Spinners, Dramatics, Sugar Hill Gang, Ike and Tina, Ray Charles, The Delfonics, Bobby Womack, War, Pointer Sisters, Bloodstone, and David Ruffin. Turning their lives back over to the Lord, God’s N U Gospel Singing Ministry was spiritually brought together. The Lord ministered to brother Carvel Rease in 1990 to write spiritual lyrics over contemporary secular music and to share them with his children. Lifting up the Lord in songs, they wanted to take the ministry even farther by having brother Rease sing with his former R&B singing group. In 1993 Carvel Rease contacted Marvin Jr. Marvin contacted Randy Dancy and David Staton former singers of The Numonics R&B singing group and former gospel singers. God’s N U has ministered all around the country. Many lives have been changed though the ministries of Gods N U. They have sung and ministered in numerous of different venues such as: churches, hospitals, homeless shelters, prisons, drug houses, convalescent homes, Aids Foundations, street corners, Gospel Brunch Shows, television, and radio programs. In 1996 David Staton went home to glory. God’s N U ministry continued on. After auditioning, and trying many different singers, Vincent Taylor was one of the final sparks to reunite God’s N U. Mr. Taylor was an R&B singer. He sang and recorded with groups like the Philosophic, The Utopians, and C.P. Salt. They toured in different states; also he was a known gospel singer in the Bay Area. “Our spiritual songs capture the attention of the youth as well as adults in our world today. We minister to the whole family, young and old, Jesus message of love, peace, and everlasting life for which we all should be preparing to enjoy.” God’s N U songwriter and member Carvel Rease attended his church home Love Center Fellowship Seminar. In the songwriting class his teacher was the multi-talented singer and Minister Donnie McClurklin. Gods N U has sang with some of God’s greatest gospel singers, such as: Bishop Walter Hawkins, Reverend James Cleveland, Edwin Hawkins and The Hawkins Singers, Mighty Clouds of Joy, Dorothy Morrison, Candy Staton and many other Gospel Great Singers.Mr. Rease is now working on his invention The Jesus Christ Lord & Savior Talking Doll. The doll eyes light up has lamb’s wool hair, his color is a glowing reflecting brass color, and the Jesus Christ Talking Doll speaks verses only that Jesus has said in the bible.
